Rowing across the Atlantic

Not something you see every day.

Four men have been rowing across the North Atlantic in the boat Artemis Investments. Leven Brown, Scotland, Ray Carroll, Scotland, Don Lennox, Ireland  and Livar Nysted, Faroe Islands.

They broke the 114 year old record, when they rowed from New York June 17th to The Isles of Scilly, where they arrived  July 31st – in 44 days.

It was their third attempt, and it has been quite dangerous, Livar fell overboard in bad weather.
I know I sailed the North Atlantic once in a storm, and even if it was on a big ferry I was scared – and sea sick, so I think the Artemis crew are amazing and incredibly brave.

Big congratulations to the crew om Artemis Investments.
